Muscular Dystrophy and Stem Cell Therapy

There are two dramatic reports from China that demonstrate that cord stem cells can correct the exon 19 deletion and improve muscle tone in children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. We are anxious to see similar results in patients treated in Mexico with cord stem cells, perhaps transfected with the exon 19 gene.
